NOTE FROM PASTOR
MILT
Mark Twain is given credit for the saying,
“Everyone talks about the weather, but no one can do anything about
it.” The big Spring snow was forecast; the only thing to do was prepare
accordingly. I stopped at the grocery store Thursday evening to pick up a
few things to tide me over. Apparently other people had the same idea as
many of the shelves were nearly empty.
Come Saturday, the storm had come; making it difficult to even get
out of my driveway. Then a call came concerning Sunday services. I have
not been in favor of canceling services, but there were several issues
involved in making that decision; sometimes it is wiser for the safety of
our entire congregation to make that decision.
Come Sunday morning, I felt a big empty. I tried to watch some
services on television, but it was not the same as being together. For
many people Sunday morning is the only time when we see one another.
On the other hand, I must give thanks to God for the snow and the
moisture it puts in our land. It is probably the most moisture we have
seen all winter. God still cares for His creation.
Sunday, Palm Sunday will be more exciting for all of us.
Blessings be with you all.
Milton Bryarly, Interim Minister

EASTER FUN
DAY
Saturday, April 11th ~ 10:00 AM- 12:00
We have a fun day planned for the children of the church and their
friends and neighbors. We will have crafts, an egg hunt, and lunch.
Please sign the clipboard at the back of the sanctuary so we will know how
many children and adults to expect. We need adults to help out at craft
tables. Please let Lenora know (524-4053) if you can help with this part.
If you have middle or high school youth who want to come, they can hide
eggs for us and help children at the craft tables.
P.S. If your children are involved in the Wednesday night groups,
will you please come into the building, instead of dropping them off, and
add their name to the list at the back of the sanctuary. Add your name too
so you can be a part of all the fun and lunch.
