FROM THE PASTOR
Dear Church,
I want to give some folks a little offering of gratitude . . .
To Dee and Merrill Deck, Pat Falley, Christy Lewis, Jennifer Breese,
Marlaine Holmes, thank you for the outstanding job in recruiting,
enlisting and conducting our photography for the new directory. You
worked long hours and did a professional job in your tasks.
To David Walker, thanks for coordinating all the work being done in
the sanctuary with the audio and video upgrades. The video and sound was
exceptional Sunday!
To Andy Reynen, thanks for installing camera equipment for our new
DVD recording system. Those who are homebound and those who choose to
view our services via the internet will have a new way of sharing in the
family of God here at First Christian.
To Ronnie Lewis for his willingness to go each week to visit those
who are not able to attend services. Those of you who receive the
worship services via MP-3 will now have Ronnie delivering DVDs.
To the many others who sacrificially give of your time each week to
minister to others, I want to say thanks. Nothing is more gratifying to a
pastor than to see the church love and give to one another.
It is a joy to serve here at FCC. Have a blessed week!
Jay

PENTECOST OFFERING
Pentecost Special Offering will be received at First Christian
on May 16 and May 23.
Each Year the New Church Movement is supported by funds raised by
the annual Pentecost Offering. This special-day offering provides
support for new church planter training, coaching, special project
grants and additional services to support the New Church Ministry of the
Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). And, importantly, half of the
money collected through the Pentecost offering remains in OUR REGION to
benefit new churches.
