FROM THE PASTOR
Dear Church Family,
As most of you are aware I have been busy praying and seeking a
person to lead our worship with the help of four very capable and
devoted FCC family members.
We found a person and discussed at length at the previous board
meeting a desire to call Brian Nixon as our new Worship Pastor. Brian
has been in our services and led our worship on two occasions. After
much prayer, he and his wife have sought the heart of God and determined
God has other plans for them at this time. I personally wish them all
the best that God has for them. I considered them a joy to meet and get
acquainted.
So the search continues. For the summer I am scheduling a number of
different people to come lead us in worship. There will be varying
worship styles and tastes in music. We are a diverse-multigenerational
congregation, so this will give us an opportunity to be enriched and
exposed to different approaches to worship. My prayer is that over the
course of the next few weeks we will be excited at the wonderful
possibilities that await us as we explore new things and new methods of
reaching others and experiencing the glory of God through music and
worship. I would very much covet your prayers as this search progresses.
Blessings,
Jay
