NOTE FROM THE INTERIM PASTOR
Retail business usually plans ahead for the next selling season. July 4th is barely passed with the hot “crazy, lazy days” of summer still ahead of us. Labor Day usually signals the end of summer. Picnic supplies will continue to be available, but summer clothes will be harder and harder to find. In the coming days retail stores will be preparing for “Back to School” sales. Soon after Labor Day, retail stores will be stocking up for the holidays.

Summer can also be a time for Renewal, Refreshment, and Revival. With that in mind, I encourage you to join us in worship for a special summer series of messages that will begin this Sunday, July 12th, under the theme: Spiritual Food for Daily Living. All of the messages will have a single word title which I trust will be helpful for you. The various themes can be woven together in some kind of a tapestry.

Invite someone close to you to come and share these special services. It is always cooler inside, and there are cookies and something to drink at the conclusions of the service.

Blessings be with you all. Milton Bryarly, Interim Minister

THANK YOU
My friend Tony Brocato was called home to his Lord July 1, 2009. On behalf of his wife Shawn, thank you sincerely to all of you who faithfully kept the two of them in prayer during this two year battle with cancer. And I thank you as well. My faithful prayer partners were so helpful and encouraging during this difficult journey. I am grateful for the witness Shawn and Tony were to me in their faith as they traveled through the valley together with their Shepherd leading them. And I am rejoicing that he is home and at peace! Marsha Devan

Dear Friends at FCC,
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for all the cards, calls, visits and food since my accident and surgery. My biggest thank you is for all your prayers and please continue to pray for me. A big thank you to Milton, Machaelle, Jesse, Dee and Merrill and Alma for spending time with my family before and during my surgery! How truly blessed we are to be a part of such a wonderful church family.
God loves you and so do we. God Bless, Marlaine and Jim

I would like to say a great big thank you to all who sent cards, prayers, phone calls and the ones who came to the service for my brother Louie Lewis. Jake and Betty and the Lewis family

FROM THE E-MAIL FILE
Hello!

Well, we will be on the move again. This Sunday we will be moving to Gold Hill, OR (8 miles north of Medford). We visited there last week and found that our employment chances would be better. We haven't found work yet, but I'm confident God will lead us to that employer. I will have a new address to give you next week.

Gold Hill is about 500 miles from Boardman, but it will smell better (I hope!) and we are right off I-5 so traveling to look for work will be more convenient. Medford has 80,000 people and easier to get around than Eugene or Salem, so I think adaptation will be easier. Gold Hill has 5,000 people.

We will be staying in an RV park there and I heard that the Post Office is only a half mile away. Makes a great morning walk since the PO in Haysville was only a half mile away from our house. People in Oregon have been great and warm.

We hope you are safe and well and the summer heat is not too bad. It will reach 98 degrees tomorrow here in Boardman, but at night it cools down to the 50's. Bev and Joe McCormick

Home to Kansas
Plinio and Joyce Andrade are planning on being in Kansas on July 21st, 22nd and maybe the 23rd.
It will be good to see them again.

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
We will be sending $1,823.00 to the 2nd Christian Church in Galveston, TX for our “Great Is Thy Faithfulness” offering to help them rebuild their church building. Thank you so much for your generosity.

CHURCH GROWTH
Don’t forget to join us this coming Saturday the 11th at 6:00 p.m. for an evening of fellowship and good food. We are going to be grillin’ the meat this month and you bring a salad and/or dessert for a great meal. We usually play family games but instead we will be watching a family movie together. Please sign the sheet on the table at the back of the sanctuary so we will know how many to expect. Thanks for being a part of this family event.

SERVE-IVOR MISSION WEEK
Who will out-last, out-love and out-serve their competition and earn the privilege of deciding which Christian charity is awarded $500.00? Well, it very well could be Alex Marsh, Betsy Burke or Morgan Shetler. Sunday, July 5 through Sunday, July 12 they, along with youth from Haysville Christian Church, will participate in an unusual mission/service experience. The youth will be “stranded” on location with limited resources and asked to complete tasks in order to gain immunity and luxuries. In the end, one youth will be voted the ultimate “Serve-ivor” and the Christian charity of their choice will be awarded $500.00 on their behalf. Although this will certainly be a rewarding experience for them, it will undoubtedly be emotionally trying and gut wrenching. Please pray for them….specifically that their hearts will be open to changes that God would make and that those they are serving will be changed by God through their service. And while you’re at it …offer up a prayer for me as well! You can keep apprised of their activities throughout the week by logging onto www.haysvillechristianchurch.org and clicking on the “Serve-ivor” logo. Letters of encouragement can be sent to them in care of Haysville Christian Church (1306 W. Grand). Thanks for your prayers! CLICK HERE FOR THE Haysville Christian Church Website
